With only five years left till 2030, SPP is focusing on doing more, faster, and with more impact. We are activating our community and our allies to focus on Getting It Done! SPP’s Initiatives for Impact provide new spaces for our community to take action and to collaboratively drive change.
Collaborating for Impact
SPP’s Initiatives for Impact are community-driven projects launched to address critical challenges and gaps in sustainable procurement collectively. Supported by the SPP Global Team, these initiatives are created and led by the community, for the community, and harness the collective expertise and leadership to create actionable solutions to drive meaningful, real-world impact for people and planet while empowering procurement professionals.

How Initiatives Work
SPP Initiatives are safe, inclusive spaces where the procurement profession—and its allies—can come together to co-create solutions to shared challenges. These initiatives respond to the growing need for collaboration, enabling diverse stakeholders, including competitors, to work side by side.
SPP Initiatives operate within a “magic triangle” of leadership, community engagement, and implementation support.
- Leadership is guided by the SPP Champions Program, ensuring bold yet practical outcomes shaped by real-world perspectives.
- Community engagement is activated through SPP Chapters and ecosystem partners.
- SPP partners provide essential resources, tools, and pro-bono support to drive implementation.
SPP is hosting these initiatives, ensuring a safe space for collaboration, supporting communication, and bringing in strategic partners.
Most importantly, all outputs from SPP Initiatives are open-source and accessible to the entire community.
How to get involved
SPP Initiatives thrive on the energy and expertise of the community. SPP Community members who have Signed The Pledge can engage in initiatives as follows:
