Ecosystem partners

As a global community of changemakers committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, collaboration is an indispensable asset to achieve our goals.
We are radical collaborators: we do not duplicate, we do not compete. We accelerate existing initiatives and convene spaces to co-create practical solutions to achieve impact faster.
When we see an opportunity for impact-driven collaboration, we seize it! We actively reach out to various stakeholders across regions, industries and sectors to explore who is interested in supporting – and being supported – by a community of procurement professionals committed to embedding sustainable procurement practices.

We promote and leverage the power of procurement and engage in some incredible collaborations with the following organizations to help empower our community, unleash innovation, and transform challenges into opportunities:

Bain & Company

SPP and Bain & Company have entered into a strategic collaboration to advance Phase 2—the Piloting Phase—of the SPP “Carbon Pricing for Procurement” initiative. Drawing on Bain’s expertise in sustainability and decarbonization, the partnership focuses on refining the SPP Carbon Pricing Principles, guided by implementation feedback from the SPP community. Bain supports the initiative by facilitating and synthesizing insights from participating companies’ piloting efforts to strengthen clarity, consistency, and real-world applicability, which will be shared with the broader procurement community. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to accelerating sustainable procurement practices and advancing credible, actionable carbon pricing approaches to drive meaningful progress in decarbonization.

Health Proc Europe (HPE)

The Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) and Health Proc Europe (HPE) are joining forces under the Alliance for Procurement Impact (API) initiative. This collaboration aims to transform and advance healthcare procurement into a strategic enabler of supply security, sustainability, and resilience across Europe.

Building on the first phase of the API project, SPP joins as a partner for Phase 2 in 2026 to contribute the voice of procurement practitioners through its Pharma & Life Sciences and Public Procurement Chapters. Together, SPP and HPE will co-create and validate a Sustainable & Resilient Procurement Toolkit, designed to equip healthcare systems with practical tools, templates, and best practices aligned with EU policy goals, including the Critical Medicines Act and the Green Transition.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to empower professionals, strengthen supply chain resilience, and embed sustainability in every procurement decision.

Join the SPP Community and follow the Pharma & Life Sciences and/or the Public Procurement groups on LinkedIn for up-to-date project information, opportunities to engage and resources.

World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)

In 2025, SPP has joined forces with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) — a CEO-led network of over 250 leading businesses working together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. Through the partnership, we will co-host events, share content with our communities, and drive decarbonization solutions. A key focus is the collaboration with WBCSD’s The Climate Drive Action Library, a global action library of proven climate strategies. SPP contributes expertise and real-world case studies from its Guide, collaborates on procurement-specific solutions, and helps expand The Climate Drive’s reach, making practical climate action more accessible to procurement professionals worldwide.

Economist Impact

The Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) engaged in a strategic collaboration with Economist Impact as part of its Year of Procurement and the celebration of the SPP’s “5 Years of Impact” in 2024. By working with Economist Impact, SPP aimed at fostering partnerships that transcend traditional boundaries and opening doors for procurement professionals to access a global network of allies working towards shared sustainability objectives.

First Movers Coalition of the World Economic Forum

The Procure Innovation Dialogues, co-hosted by the Sustainable Procurement Pledge and the First Movers Coalition of the World Economic Forum, was held on 20 September 2024 and brought together a community of influential Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and their C-suite partners. The 2024 Dialogues focused on identifying concrete approaches to sustainability improvements and fostering strong partnerships between CPOs and their senior supply chain partners. Read more about the event here.

SPP continues to support this leadership event and actively engages in the Procure Innovation Dialogues 2025.

Euclid Network

As a partner in the Buy Social Europe B2B project, SPP is helped to boost social procurement in the EU in 2023-24. Driven by the SPP Supplier Diversity Chapter, this engagement connected the SPP community to over 23 organizations from 17 countries that work collaboratively to accelerate European and local B2B social procurement markets. The concept of social procurement – buying from social enterprises that put people and the planet first – has emerged as a powerful strategy for sustainability. The project aimed to substantially increase awareness, capacity building and match making opportunities for both sides of the supply and demand spectrum of social and mainstream enterprises. The Buy Social Europe B2B consortium was led by Euclid Network – the European Social Enterprise Network.
