This event is collaboratively hosted by the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) and the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Meeting professed net-zero goals, responding to market access changes (e.g. the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism), fulfilling reporting requirements (e.g. SBTi, TCFD and CSRD) and capturing customers who are seeking low-carbon solutions – these are among the factors driving companies’ decarbonization activities. As the primary interface with suppliers and responsible for ensuring the quantity and quality at scale of necessary materials and energy resources, procurement professionals are uniquely positioned to take the lead in implementing organizations’ climate agendas. In this increasingly influential role, procurement leaders need new strategies, capabilities and partnerships to be successful.
Bringing together a community of influential chief procurement officers (CPOs) and their C-suite partners, the 2024 Dialogues aim to identify concrete approaches from leading companies and foster strong partnerships between CPOs and their senior partners, recognizing the fact that transforming the procurement function requires high-level engagement and support both from within the organization and across supply chains.
