I’m so happy to welcome Emilie Dooms to the SPP Global Team! As a key team member in our growing movement, Emilie will play a vital role in shaping and driving SPP’s content, knowledge, resources, and best practices—helping to ensure that sustainable procurement becomes the default worldwide faster!
We have been busy over the last five years, but if we continue to stay true to our goal of eliminating duplication and increasing collaboration, this role is key.
Emilie brings a wealth of experience in strategic communication, content strategy, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong track record of making sustainability accessible and actionable. Her career in sustainability and procurement began six years ago, working with multinational companies to align their supplier ecosystems with sustainability goals. This firsthand experience showed her the power of procurement as a force for positive change—an opportunity she has since dedicated herself to advancing. Over the years, she has developed expertise in translating complex sustainability challenges into practical, engaging content that empowers professionals to take action. She is passionate about bridging the gap between ambition and implementation, ensuring that procurement teams have the knowledge and confidence to lead real transformation.
Emilie joins SPP at a pivotal moment in our journey. As our global community expands, so do the efforts of our chapters, initiatives, and partnerships, all working together to accelerate sustainable procurement in practice. The momentum is building, and Emilie will help us connect the dots across these efforts—ensuring that procurement professionals everywhere have access to the right tools, insights, and inspiration to drive real change. By strengthening the way we communicate and share expertise, she will support SPP in amplifying the work of our members and partners, making sustainability more accessible and actionable for all.
Beyond her expertise in content and strategy, Emilie is also experienced in change management and stakeholder activation—two critical elements in turning sustainability commitments into measurable impact. She understands that knowledge-sharing alone is not enough; people need to feel equipped, supported, and empowered to take action. This is where her skills will be invaluable, helping SPP’s community translate ideas into action and ensuring that our collective efforts lead to tangible, lasting results. I have already benefited from her support and perspective as I am sure you will.
In Emilie’s words: “I’m thrilled to join SPP at such an exciting moment! My goal is to collaborate with the community to fill gaps, amplify expertise, and ensure our content supports real-world impact.”
Please join us in giving Emilie a warm SPP welcome—we can’t wait to see how her contributions will help propel our mission forward!
