We are so pleased to share the 2023/2024 SPP Annual Activity Report with you.
Our hope, as you read this report, is that you can find yourself and your contributions in the stories and highlights. Because none of this is possible without each one of you.
We’ve achieved so much together, and #collaborate2accelerate has truly driven this period of growth and impact. I’m particularly proud of how our community has grown to over 15,000 people (a number that is happily already outdated), united in our mission to make sustainable procurement the default.
World Sustainable Procurement Day continues to be a major highlight, connecting thousands globally. I was particularly proud to see so many new voices joining the 98 speakers this year and seeing us hearing from many new regions.
Many of you have chosen to deepen your participation by getting active in Chapters. I loved reading about our 17 active SPP Chapters which are fostering collaboration on a local level. The chapters have been more active then ever, and as you did into the report, make sure to also take time to go back and watch some of the sessions the Chapters delivered this year. The content is good! And you might get to know some of your peers that are driving change.
In this report, we also highlight The SPP Champions Program. Last September we came together in person in Berlin as a group and that meeting ignited a year full of collaboration. The Champion Program is driving leadership with 50+ CPO’s and 28 companies pushing for meaningful action. One of the key successes of this group has been to launch the Guide, which has now solidly been adopted by the whole community and continues to grow and grow. A truly unique and pivotal piece of work.
