Dear SPP Ambassadors, Co-Chairs, Champions, Supporters, Partners, Friends & Family,
An exciting and impactful year 2021 is drawing to a close, and we cannot allow it to end without saying THANK YOU 🙏
Thank you for all your support and dedication. Thank you for driving and shaping the SPP agenda together with us. Thank you for making an impact on responsible sourcing. Thank you for all the small and big contributions that have made the difference. And thank you for your passion and commitment that provides us confidence and hope that we will step up to our responsibility and meet our vision of sustainable supply chains by 2030.
We gratefully look back to a year full of growth and acceleration. 2021 started with the split of the SPP Steering Team into five different workstreams: Advocacy, Capacity Building, Fund Raising, Governance, and Partnerships. Middle of the year, we officially became a non-profit organization. Only a few weeks later, the first SPP Chapters kicked off their great work in driving change in different countries and regions, industries, or focusing on specific sustainability topics.
On the second anniversary of SPP, the Steering Team met for the first time in person, spending an amazing strategy working weekend in the surroundings of Amsterdam. We never felt more energized (and we were already!) than this time for the future of SPP!
And to top it all off, just at the same time, we reached our annual growth target of 5,000 SPP Ambassadors – a community full of purpose and dedication, drive and energy, team spirit and mutual support, carried and fueled by a joint commitment to sustainable procurement.
We are incredibly grateful that so many procurement professionals responded to our call for action. And we feel very honored for being able to shape together with you the future of responsible procurement leadership for generations, prosperity, and our planet earth.
We have great plans for 2022, more energy and passion than we can hold, and we can’t wait to share it with even more SPP Ambassadors! 2022 will be all about further growth and instilling the mindset of responsible sourcing, complemented by the sense of acceleration and execution – join in to even more great initiatives, ambitions, and accomplishments!
The SPP Steering Team wishes you a wonderful, sustainable year-end, with the opportunity to spend quality time with your families, many memorable moments, and in-depth conversations. We look forward to meeting all of you and many more again soon in 2022.
Let’s Drive Change. Together.
