Fine Tune Becomes a Supporter of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge
The Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) is pleased to announce that Fine Tune, a Chicago-based company that partners with businesses to manage complex indirect expense programs, has become an official SPP Supporter. As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainably conducting business, the certified B Corporation™ has made a donation to SPP to drive the strategic pillars of EMPOWERING & EQUIPPING and ENABLING LEADERSHIP in sustainable procurement.
Earth, June 14, 2023 – Since 2022, SPP has invited organizations who believe in its mission and values to make donations to support its work. As an SPP supporter, Fine Tune is joining the international SPP Community of procurement professionals, academics, and practitioners, driving awareness and knowledge on responsible sourcing practices and empowering people in procurement. Together as a global community, we believe that sustainability in the supply chain is our responsibility. We are coming together to accelerate this work to help build a sustainable future for people and the planet.
“Fine Tune has always been committed to conducting business in the most sustainable manner possible. We are so inspired by the good work of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge team and excited to help, both with our contributions and in other ways going forward,” said Rich Ham, CEO of Fine Tune.
SPP is a non-profit organization and annual donations such as the one made by SPP supporter Fine Tune, and our League of Champions, enables the deployment of SPP’s strategy and the scaling of its urgent and ambitious plans to embed sustainable procurement by 2030. It allows SPP to provide even more value to its growing global community. SPP is the only organization for procurement by procurement, complementing top-down engagements on the corporate level with a bottom-up approach. Currently, more than 12,000 Ambassadors have pledged to integrate five sustainable procurement principles into their professional and personal lives. To change how business is conducted globally, SPP aims at growing its Ambassador community to 1 million by 2030.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fine Tune as an SPP Supporter today. SPP is fully funded by voluntary contributions. Commitments like this are vital to us. I’m always happy to see more and more individuals and companies coming together to exchange with one another. Procurement is an important lever to drive change, but it is only through collaboration and learning from each other that we will reach our ambitious and important goals. I invite all procurement professionals to join our global community by signing the SPP Pledge and becoming an Ambassador today,” said Mélissa de Roquebrune, Executive Director of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge.
More and more businesses are demonstrating their commitment to sustainable procurement, reducing their environmental impact, promoting social welfare, and driving business success. For companies like Fine Tune that understand the importance of taking on a leadership role in this work, supporting SPP represents a unique opportunity to foster a global peer community to exchange best-practice knowledge, tools, and inspiration.
