Circular Procurement Guide – The Intervention Points of Procurement

This circular economy procurement framework published by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation outlines the intervention points of an organisation’s procurement department to make more circular procurement choices.

It guides you step by step through the procurement process from:

  1. Understanding the Needs
  2. Going to market
  3. Evaluation
  4. Selection
  5. Contract Management

While guiding through the procurement process this framework offers tools and lists of questions a procurement professional can ask oneself in order enhance circular procurement choices.

In the last chapter, the framework offers two examples where Procurement applied ciruclar economy principles. I especially want to highlight the short video right at the end of this guide. It shows how the MIT University made more circular procurement choices.
