SPP’s Annual Activity Report 2022/23: A Year of Growth, Impact, and Recognition

It has been another incredible year for the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP), and we are excited to present our Annual Activity Report for 2022/23. The last months have witnessed remarkable growth in Ambassadors, transition, and recognition that reflect our commitment to making a positive impact on society and our shared planet via procurement activities.

One of the most significant developments is the transition from being purely volunteer led to introducing our first employees. This shift has allowed us to lead with a more strategic focus, ensuring that our efforts are aligned with our mission to equip, empower, and encourage 1 million professionals to introduce more sustainable practices across supply chains worldwide by 2030.

This small but mighty strategic Global Team combines forces with the incredibly dedicated volunteer team members who have been with us since the beginning, collectively playing a pivotal role in advancing our cause. A huge thanks to all for the hard work which has been instrumental in bringing SPP to where it is today and provides a bright future to come.
The Annual Activity Report for 2022/23 is brimming with highlights that highlight our journey so far, including

  • a reflection on the last 1000 days of SPP, highlighting the remarkable progress and milestones we have achieved.
  • the exceptional activities of SPP Chapters worldwide,
  • the exciting global recognition of our network’s impact, and the increasing opportunities to drive change through our growing number of Champions.

As we delve into the pages of the report, it becomes evident that SPP’s commitment to advancing sustainable progress remains unwavering. We are humbled to share these accomplishments and look forward to continuing our journey towards a better, more equitable world. None of this would be possible without each and every one of you. Our global community of Ambassadors is at the heart of everything we do. Thank you for being part of this work. I hope this document gives you goosebumps in recognition of how far we have come, and I hope it motivates you to get even more actively involved with the SPP for the year ahead.
