The story so far, and looking forward to the next 5 years of impact
Launching SPP – Back in 2020, it was a team of 20 volunteers, who took up the SPP call and worked to support a growing sustainable procurement community convene for action. They supported the vision of Thomas and Bertrand and worked to help SPP become a registered non-profit within the first 1000 days. Truly a for procurement by procurement origin story.
Chapters around the world – Today we have 18 chapters, run by 36 dedicated Co-Chairs, each of which brings the SPP Ambassador global community regular learning and knowledge-exchange events. They are the beating heart of SPP’s public activities throughout the year. Each chapter has a core team of volunteers who support with organizing, promoting and running quarterly events.

Strength for strategic operations and initiatives– In 2024, SPP took another significant step in its organizational governance through the establishment of the Advisory Council. Our first members, have already been instrumental in supporting SPP and our community as we approach 2030 and the challenges beyond.
A further group of volunteers commit their time and field of expertise to helping with specific tasks and projects. We remain incredibly grateful to so many people who continue to help with strategically important activities, such as communications & advocacy, ecosystem partnerships, peer-reviews of best practice case studies and much more.
As a relatively young organization with BIG ambitions and endless opportunities to drive desperately needed sustainable procurement transformation, we are always looking for help in a range of areas.
